Messi wins Best International Athlete ESPY Award

Lionel Messi has done it again. The gifted player has been named the Best International Athlete at the 2015 ESPY Awards, presented by ESPN on July 15, 2015. Messi has beaten the likes of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis star Novak Djovokic and golfer Yani Tseng to win the title. Here's a look at some amazing records of the magical Messi.
Messi's solitary goal led FC Barcelona beat Atlético Madrid to clinch the La Liga on May 17, 2015. This is Barca's fifth title in seven seasons and the seventh of Messi's decade-long career. (Pictured) Messi celebrates his goal against Atlético Madrid at Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid, Spain.
Lionel Messi scored another hat-trick against Rayo Vallecano on March 8, 2015. This treble made him the leading scorer of hat-tricks in the history of Spanish football as he beat the record held by Telmo Zarra (31). The Argentinian also skipped past arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo (23) to become the top hat-trick scorer in La Liga history (24).
